Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains how Alex Hargrove Coaching collects, uses, and shares consumer health data, as required by Washington's My Health My Data Act. Alex Hargrove Coaching is run by me, Alex Hargrove, as a sole proprietor based in Washington State. It sits alongside my Privacy Policy.
The health data I collect
- Health conditions, injuries, pain, symptoms, and medications you choose to tell me about.
- Body measurements, body composition, and progress photos.
- Fitness and performance data: workouts, lifts, and testing results.
- Sleep, recovery, energy, and stress.
- Nutrition logs and dietary information.
- Health-related goals, such as changes in weight or body composition.
Why I collect it and how I use it
- To decide with you whether coaching is a good fit, and to prepare for your strategy call.
- To design, adjust, and deliver your training and nutrition coaching safely.
- To track your progress.
I only collect health data with your consent. I never sell it, and I never use it for advertising.
Where it comes from
- Directly from you: the pre-call questionnaire, onboarding and baseline testing, check-ins, and our messages.
- Apps you use as part of coaching: Superset (workouts and check-ins) and Cronometer (nutrition logs).
Who it's shared with
I share health data only with service providers that store or process it on my behalf so I can coach you. They may receive any of the categories above, but only what their service needs:
- Tally: pre-call questionnaire answers
- Superset: coaching app (training data, check-ins, measurements, photos)
- Cronometer: nutrition logs
- WhatsApp: our messages
- Google: email and video calls
I don't share health data with any affiliates or any other third parties, except where the law requires it.
Your rights
- Know and access: confirm whether I collect or share your health data, see it, and get a list of everyone I've shared it with.
- Withdraw consent to my collecting or sharing it at any time.
- Delete your health data, including from backups.
- Be treated fairly: I won't treat you differently for using these rights. If you withdraw consent or delete your data while we're working together, I may not be able to coach you safely, and I'll tell you if that's the case.
